Plant Engineer

Requirements:

Bachelors degree (minimum) in an Engineering discipline, preferable Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a process engineer, operations engineer, or process safety engineer.
A background in conducting Process Safety Audits and knowledge of PSM/RMP requirements
Technical knowledge in the fundamentals of unit operations design
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective in use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Able to lift 50 pounds
Able to pass Company physical including drug screen

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Operations:
-Collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel and provide services related to design review, repair, and maintenance, including preventative maintenance activities
-Lead Root Cause Failure Analyses and champion corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems.
-Assist maintenance and operations team with daily troubleshooting/provide sustainable solutions
-Scale laboratory formulations to production batches
-Understand, adhere to and enforce Company safety and core value policies

Project Engineering:
-Develop project scope, obtain cost estimates, and prepare appropriation funding requests, and utilize applicable value-based reviews to optimize project scope and cost
-Seek compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promote a safe working environment for project execution.
-Prepare engineering design deliverables and procure equipment, fabricated materials, and services.
-Supervise contractors ensuring compliance with Company ethical, legal, safety and environmental requirements
-Support capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of projects
-Develop ISO standard operating procedures for new production processes and implement the processes into the quality system
-Effective in the use of AutoCad

Regulatory:
-Ensure plant operations comply with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and reporting is completed and submitted on time
-Conduct Process Safety Audits, or other forms of Gap Analysis, to assess Process Safety Programs
-Support development of new Standards or Best Practices in Process Safety.
-Provide safety training to Operations and Maintenance Personnel
-Maintain compliance with the Management of Change (MOC) process
-Lead Hazard Reviews and Pre-StartUp Safety Reviews
