Maintenance Manager

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations Management

  • Lead maintenance of all mine and plant equipment, utility systems, facilities, and grounds
  • Manage preventative and predictive maintenance systems, including lubrication, vibration, and temperature sensing programs
  • Maintain and optimize CMMS (EAM) for work orders, asset tracking, and PM scheduling
  • Coordinate major equipment shutdowns and outages in collaboration with other departments
  • Develop and maintain an efficient spare parts and procurement system

Project & Capital Management

  • Lead capital projects from initiation through execution and close-out, ensuring delivery on time and within budget

Performance & Reliability

  • Track and report maintenance KPIs and equipment performance metrics
  • Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) for major failures and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen events and Lean practices

Technical Support & Process Engineering

  • Provide process engineering support for production and R&D initiatives
  • Troubleshoot production issues and recommend enhancements to improve quality and throughput

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure ISO 9000 compliance through procedure development and training
  • Maintain and track corrective actions from audits, inspections, and customer visits

People Development & Communication

  • Develop, train, and mentor maintenance staff to ensure high performance and safety compliance
  • Perform biannual performance reviews and support ongoing team development
  • Promote a collaborative and informed team culture through effective communication systems

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 7 years supervisory experience preferred or a minimum 10 years other relevant experience.
  • Heavy-industry maintenance and/or mining a plus)
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees at all levels.
  • Must have working knowledge of software applications (MS Office / Excel / MS Word, etc)

 

MSHA required training will follow Marble Hill’s Part 48 Training Plan including New Miner training and annual refresher. Prior MSHA training will be acceptable if proper documentation can be produced.

Working Conditions

· Is exposed to heat, cold, dust/dirt, noise, vibrations, humidity moving equipment, for 8 – 12 hours at a time and/or underground mine environment for shorter periods of time.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs alone and heavier weights assisted, must kneel, squat, use hands and fingers to feel repeatedly. Must ascend and descend stairs repeatedly during a shift.

· Must be capable of wearing required PPE for entire shift: Hard hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, safety harnesses/lanyards, etc.

· Must be able to operate equipment at a speed that is reasonable and prudent for the conditions while maintaining an efficient level of production.
